Growing Engaged, Global Citizens

Our Mission

It is Riverview’s mission to create a small, diverse learning community that actively engages students in meaningful and innovative learning experiences. Emphasizing “learning by doing”, family and community involvement, and engaged citizenship, Riverview is committed to nurturing the whole child and preparing each student for a global society. We enroll students from Kindergarten through 8th grade, from all across Beaufort County.

UPCOMING EVENTS

From service learning projects, to community involvement, to capstone trips – there is always something exciting happening at Riverview Charter School!

OUR SCHOOL

Founded by a small group of parents, Riverview began with the belief that a small group of citizens can change the world. In 2009, Riverview Charter School opened its doors and celebrated the distinction of becoming Beaufort County’s first public charter school. Since then, we have increased our enrollment and expanded our staff, but our passion and sense of purpose has never changed.

OUR APPROACH

Riverview strives to grow engaged, global citizens through an experiential approach. We are committed to a small, diverse learning community that is focused on the whole child. Students are taught an integrated curriculum in three thematic cycles, and students participate in unique capstone experiences that celebrate each student’s growth.

SUPPORT RCS

We depend upon the support from our community. Lots of time or a little time, on campus and off…there are so many ways to give and to get involved.
