Scholarship Policy
The TIDEWATCH Scholarship Program is designed to provide Riverview families with the financial assistance they need to obtain quality, onsite after-school care. Riverview’s TIDEWATCH Program combines learning opportunities in support of Riverview’s mission, with meaningful programs that engage students and builds a strong sense of community. To ensure that TIDEWATCH remains a viable option for all families, assistance is awarded on the basis of need and the availability of funds. In an effort to support to as many children as possible, scholarships are awarded on an income based scale. Please note that all families, regardless of scholarship status, are required to pay a minimum tuition cost of twenty-five percent (25%).
Families must apply for TIDEWATCH Financial Aid by completing the Scholarship Application online along with the supporting documents to the TIDEWATCH Director. All scholarship applications are due two (2) weeks prior to the start of attending TIDEWATCH. Applications will be processed in the order they are received.
Scholarships are established by the TIDEWATCH Director based on a priority of needs whereby students who are eligible for Free Lunch may receive up to a seventy-five percent (75%) scholarship and students who are eligible for Reduced Lunch may receive up to a fifty percent (50%) scholarship. The costs associated with Individual Enrichment Classes are not eligible for a reduction.
Families who do not qualify for Free or Reduced Price Lunch but wish to seek financial assistance from TIDEWATCH are encouraged to apply. These applications will be prioritized and may be awarded based on the availably of program funds.
The total for scholarship awards will not exceed ten percent (10%) of the TIDEWATCH budget by Trimester. All decisions made by the TIDEWATCH Director regarding scholarships are final.
Tips and Guidelines:
• You must continue to pay full amount for services until you sign and return your approved scholarship letter.
• Your scholarship will be terminated at the request of the program director if payments are received late or are not received.
• Scholarship awards apply only to After School Care only and do not include Individual Enrichment Classes.
• Delinquent charges with TIDEWATCH may result in denial of scholarships and/or program participation.
