Katie Keyes has been a classroom teacher since 2019 and is beginning her first year here at Riverview! She has experience in kindergarten and second grade and is passionate about setting the foundation for students to grow and love school. She believes that everything in the classroom starts with strong relationships.

Amber Johnson
Amber Johnson joined the Riverview Charter School family in 2018. With experience that includes influences from Montessori and Reggio curriculums, she enjoys nurturing the independence and confidence in children. Amber believes that children learn best through engaging lessons that incorporate hands-on experiences. As she nears the completion of her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary education, Amber is committed to touching the hearts of all of her kindergarten students.

Jennifer Mobley, M.Ed.
In 2005 Jenny Mobley graduated Cum Laude from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor’s Degree in studio art with an emphasis in graphic design. She then went to graduate school at USC and received a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and holds an endorsement in gifted and talented education. She has been teaching since 2006 and has taught both first grade and kindergarten. Jenny has been teaching at Riverview since 2011 and loves to incorporate music and art in the classroom. She loves to play sports, go to the beach, and spend time with her husband and two boys.

Laura Dineen
Laura Dineen believes in teaching the whole child so they become successful in today’s society. She has taught in Beaufort County since 2015 and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. She encourages curiosity, questioning and hands-on learning opportunities to help shape the love for life long learning. Laura enjoys family time and sporting events when she is not in school. Megan Bridge, B.S.
Megan Bridge came to Riverview in 2016 and has been teaching since 2008. Megan earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from East Carolina University in 2007 and holds a Literacy Teacher endorsement. She believes her role as an elementary teacher is to nurture and encourage the lifelong learning of her students through hands-on activities, classroom discussion, and creating a safe, loving environment. She hopes to prompt students to think creatively and explore their natural curiosity. When she’s not at Riverview she is enjoying spending time at the beach with her husband Michael and two children Kylie and Benjamin.

Leanne Jones, M. Ed.
Leanne Jones has been teaching since 2012 and happily joined the Riverview family in 2017. Leanne believes children are most successful when they feel loved, respected, and safe and they are encouraged to explore and engage in the community and world in which they live. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from Wofford College and her Masters of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education from the University of South Carolina. When Leanne is out of the classroom, she enjoys being on the water with her family and sneaking away to the mountains in the Upstate.

Grace Gove, B.A.
Grace Gove joined the Riverview family in 2024. She was born and raised in Watkinsville, Georgia, and has since lived in Arizona and now Beaufort. Grace earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Piedmont University. She believes children thrive in a loving and safe environment where they can develop a lifelong love for learning. Grace is passionate about fostering children’s curiosity and encourages her students to engage with the world around them. Outside of the classroom, you can find Grace at the beach with her husband, Brennen, and daughter, Ella.

Kate Redfern, M.A.T.
Kate Redfern came to Riverview in 2021. Ms. Redfern believes that children learn best when they are actively engaged, participating in hands on experiences, and feel loved. She earned her undergraduate degree from Presbyterian College and has a Masters in the Arts of Teaching from Converse College. When she’s not teaching, Ms. Redfern enjoys spending time at the beach or on the water with her family and friends.

Heather Brem became a part of the RCS team in 2011. She feels building a safe and supportive environment at school turns a classroom of students into a community of learners who are curious about themselves, one another, and the world around them. She completed her undergraduate work at NC State and Meredith College. After teaching for a few years, she later earned her National Board Certification and her Master’s degree from Texas State in San Marcos. When not engaged with little people at school, she enjoys spending time at home with her husband, two kids, and golden retriever.

Alyssa Heitman
Alyssa Heitman joined the Riverview family in 2021 after graduating Summa Cum Laude from Georgia College and State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and an endorsement in reading. Alyssa believes her role as a teacher is to help students become life-long learners by providing a safe learning environment where students feel respected and encouraged to explore. When not in the classroom, Alyssa enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs.

Kathy Brennan believes creating a strong classroom community is essential to her students being successful. She earned her master’s degree in elementary education in 1999 from Florida Atlantic University and completed her National Board Certification in 2009. When she’s not teaching, you can find her enjoying the beach with her family.

Liz Williams, M.Ed.
Liz Williams has been teaching at Riverview since 2010. She holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary and early childhood education from the College of Charleston, a master’s degree in reading education from the The Citadel and holds an endorsement in gifted and talented education. Liz believes that children learn best with a hand-on approach in an atmosphere where they work cooperatively and know they are an important part of the classroom community. In her spare time Liz enjoys reading, bird watching, baking and and boating with her family.

Caroline Jackovich
Caroline Jackovich believes that every child has an inherent spark of curiosity and potential to learn; they simply need the right person to help ignite that flame. Mrs. Jackovich earned her BA in History in 2011 and her BA in Elementary Education in 2016 both from Salem College. She also attained her BS in Child Development from Eastern Kentucky University in 2020. She joined the Riverview Family in 2024 and is so happy to be here! When she isn’t in the classroom you can find her either at Walt Disney World or on Hunting Island with her wife and two dogs.

Cynthia Jani
Cynthia Jani started with Riverview as a substitute teacher before joining the team as a Second Grade Assistant in 2022. Before starting a family, Cynthia was a biologist turned middle school science teacher and brings a plethora of experiences to the classroom. Now that her own children are in school, she loves engaging young learners to help them reach their potential and is thrilled to be part of the Riverview family. Outside of school, Cynthia and her family can be found involved with church activities, traveling and playing with friends in their neighborhood.

Harley Adcox
Harley Adcox was born in Beaufort to a military family and, after having moved across several states in several years, relocated back here in 2017. She graduated from Battery Creek High School in 2022 and began her academic career with Riverview Charter School in 2023 where she has served in a variety of roles and capacities on campus. She has coached the girls’ volleyball team, worked with Tidewatch both before and after school, worked at Riverview’s Summer Camp, served in the cafeteria kitchen, and has classroom experience as a substitute teacher and kindergarten assistant. She is looking forward to continuing her education further while remaining a dedicated staff member here at RCS!

Amanda Adcox
Amanda Adcox came to Riverview in 2018 as a Kitchen Assistant and started full time as a Kindergarten Assistant in October of 2021. She received her Phlebotomist certification in June of 2021 at The Technical College of the Lowcountry. She is currently looking to pursue a bachelors degree in Early Education. Amanda enjoys being involved at the school with coaching soccer and volleyball for the Riverview Stingrays, and teaching morning care for the Tidewatch program. She believes in nurturing the whole child, and fostering meaningful relationships with students. Outside of school, Amanda loves spending time with her two children Harley and Maddox, going to the beach, and pampering her dog, Dolly.

Theresa Drayton has a deep rooted love for Early Childhood Education. She loves to help to nurture and encourage lifelong learning of every student. Theresa loves to read, sing, and dance. Angela Mingledorff, A.A.
Angela Mingledorff believes that compassion and patience go a long way. She has a love for children and helping them succeed. Angela is also a self taught portrait artist and illustrator. When she’s not in school, you can find her hanging out with her wonderful husband, three children and three cats. Angela is very happy to be a part of the Riverview family!

Christy Pettit, Pharm.D.
Christy Pettit joined Riverview full time in 2021. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy at St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 2004, and worked for 14 years as a pharmacist before changing paths. Christy believes that learning new things is essential at all ages, and strives to help each student have fun while being challenged to their potential. When not at Riverview, she enjoys running, kayaking, hiking or in general being active outside.

Holly Zapp came to Riverview in 2010 filled with optimism, looking to find the good/positive in every child and every situation. Holly earned her bachelors degree in early childhood development with a minor in psychology from California State University-Northridge. She loves to travel, and even lived in Okinawa, Japan, for 5 years. In her free time she loves running with her dog Finley, relaxing by the fire with her husband Dave, and visiting her two daughters Ashley and Alex.
