ORIENTATIONS
All volunteers at Riverview Charter School MUST attend an orientation session that lasts approximately 30 minutes. Orientations are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:30 p.m. Orientations will also be offered immediately following each monthly meeting of Riverview Community Cooperative (RCC). The RCC meets the first Monday of each month beginning at 6:00 pm.
A volunteer information form will need to be completed at orientation so that a background check may be completed. These forms will be available at the meetings or you can print one here and bring it with you.

BACKGROUND CHECKS
Riverview's insurance policy requires that any person in contact with the students must have a SLED background check. Cost for this currently is $25. As a charter school, the fee will be reduced later to $8 per person; however, due to the IRS's 12 month backlog on approving 501c3 status, it could be weeks or months before this special rate is available to us. We are running the SLED checks for all who attend an orientation. Donations to help cover the cost of your SLED check are gratefully accepted. You can also run and pay for your own SLED check. Click here to complete your SLED check online. Once you print out your SLED report, turn it in to the Riverview office for their records and you will be notified when you are authorized to volunteer.
